Aefifa Razzaq

This photography exhibition explores how market spaces have changed to accommodate the wave of gentrification which is consuming London today. Historically, markets have served the purpose of trading goods in an act of bringing communities together but recently markets have shifted towards becoming more artistically appealing. Previous markets which would have traded goods have been pushed out of their birth home and have now resided elsewhere in London, is this to meet the demands of how diverse London has become? Or, have our tastes through tourist demands had to adjust to accommodate new crowds?

See the film section for footage of Aefifa's exhibit as well as an interview.
